Why wear proper padel shoes?
Padel is a game of short sprints, sudden stops and constant changes of direction on sand-filled artificial turf. Running shoes are built to go forward, so they slip and roll on a padel court. A padel shoe gives you a grippy herringbone or omni sole, reinforced sides for lateral support and cushioning that protects your knees and ankles.
How to choose
Look for a snug heel and about a thumb's width of space at the toe; if you are between sizes, go up half a size. Heavier players and anyone with joint niggles should favour cushioning, while fast, agile players often prefer a lower, more stable shoe. We deliver nationwide in 3 to 5 working days, with free delivery on orders over R1,500.
